Push-on terminals let a wire come off for service without tools and without undoing a screw. They come as a pair: a female receptacle on the wire and a male tab on the equipment.
Fully-insulated versions shroud the whole body, so nothing live is exposed when the connection is half made — the right choice on anything mains-powered or anywhere fingers can reach.
Piggy back receptacles carry a tab on the back so you can take a second wire off the same terminal without doubling two crimps onto one tab.
