Circular Connectors

Circular connectors are the sealed, threaded or push-pull connectors used where a cable leaves an enclosure and has to survive weather, washdown and vibration. Micro-Ray lists 203 of them – power, signal and data – in cable mount and panel mount bodies, with Ethernet, USB and fibre inserts as well as plain pins. Please call for pricing and availability.

What is in this range

• Power Connectors – 162 parts. Two to nine pin waterproof plugs, sockets and couplers in the DH-20, DH-24, LP-20, YM-20 and YF-24 series, cable mount and panel mount.
• Signal and Data Connectors – 36 parts. RJ45 Ethernet sockets and plugs, USB 2.0 and 3.0 inserts and LC fibre optic inserts built into the same sealed shells, so a data line leaves the panel with the same protection as the power.
• USB Connectors – 5 parts. YU-USB2 and YU-USB3 waterproof USB cable assemblies and panel sockets.

How these are specified

• Shell size and series set the pin count and the cable diameter the gland will take – 20 and 24 refer to the shell, not the pin count.
• Cable mount or panel mount. A cable mount body terminates onto a cable; a panel mount body is fitted into a cut-out and sealed with its own gasket or O-ring. Panel mount part numbers in these series carry the SX or sealed-panel suffix.
• Male or female, plug or socket. The pin gender and the shell gender are specified separately in these series, so both are worth stating when you order.
• Threaded or push-pull. The LP-20 push-pull coupler mates and releases by hand, which suits a connection made and broken often; the threaded DH and YM series suit a connection made once and left.
• Sealing rating, current and voltage are on each part drawing. We confirm them against the drawing at quotation rather than reading across from a neighbouring part number.
