Why magnet tape

An adhesive label commits you to the surface it is stuck to. Magnet tape does not: the printed label holds itself to any steel shelf, bin front, rack upright or control panel door, and comes away clean when the part number changes. That makes it the usual choice for kanban bins, work-in-process racking, changeover boards and anything else that gets relabelled on a cycle rather than once.

Before you order

• Check the cartridge width against your printer — a LabelWorks model takes a stated range of cartridge widths, and the 36 and 50 mm cartridges need the wider machines.
• Match the part number, not the colour name — the code carries the width and the colour, so 224MTBGPX-4.9 is 24 mm black on green.
• Order by the roll — these are short rolls by design; magnet tape is used in quantity on a relabelling cycle.
