The MR-960401 is a side-entry 6P4C modular jack, the six-position body used for RJ11 and RJ12 wiring, for mounting on a printed circuit board.
Side entry presents the port at the edge of the board, which is the arrangement most equipment uses when the connector lines up with a cut-out in the side or rear panel of the enclosure.
Six-position jacks are used for telephone and voice wiring, serial links and control connections in telecom, building and instrumentation equipment.
