The MR-966303 is a side-entry modular jack for mounting on a printed circuit board.
Side entry presents the port at the edge of the board, which is the arrangement most equipment uses when the connector lines up with a cut-out in the side or rear panel of the enclosure.
This variant is supplied with a shielded body.
Micro-Ray builds the MR-960 modular jack series in top, side and front entry, and in 4P4C, 6P6C and 8P8C contact arrangements, so a board can be laid out around the orientation that fits rather than around whatever is available.
