Techflex flame retardant and high performance sleeving – the grades specified by name on aerospace, rail, defence and industrial programmes, where the sleeving itself has to meet a flammability, chemical or outgassing requirement rather than simply tidy a bundle. Micro-Ray is an authorized Techflex distributor and all 151 parts below are listed under Techflex’s own part numbers.

Flame retardant braid and wrap

• Flexo Flame Retardant (FRN) and Flexo FR Plus (FRP) – expandable flame retardant braid, 1/8 in to 3 in.
• Clean Cut Flame Retardant (CCF) – scissor-cuttable flame retardant braid with a frayless end.
• Flexo Tight Weave FR (F9T) – tighter braid for greater coverage, 1/8 in to 2 1/2 in.
• Flexo F6 Flame Retardant (F6F), F6 Woven Wrap FR (F6V) and Flexo Wrap FR (FWF, FXF) – the split and wrap-around versions, for retrofit onto a finished harness.
• F6X Nomex (F6X) – Nomex split braided sleeving, 3/16 in to 1 1/2 in.
• Flexo HeliX2 (PKRY) – PEEK and PPS blended flame resistant braid.

Engineering polymers

• Flexo PEEK (PKN) – 1/8 in to 3/4 in, for high performance and low outgassing work.
• Flexo PPS (RYN) – 1/8 in to 2 in.
• Flexo PFA (TFN) and Flexo Halar (HTN) – fluoropolymer braid for chemical exposure and clean environments.

Aramid and high strength

• Flexo KV (KVN) – aramid sleeving, 1/4 in to 2 in.
• Aramid Armor (KVX) – cut resistant aramid sleeving, 1/8 in to 1 1/4 in.
• Vectran (VEN) – high strength liquid crystal polymer braid in the small sizes.
• Flexo NX (NXN) and Flexo Poly – the general protective grades in this range, 1/8 in to 1 3/4 in.

Specifying it

Each part page carries the size, the material and the colour as Techflex publishes them. Where a programme calls out a flammability, outgassing or chemical specification, send us the clause and we will confirm it against the manufacturer’s published data before you release the drawing – we do not certify a grade we cannot document.
