Heavy Duty

Techflex heavy duty braided sleeving is the range built for abrasion, crush and rough handling – a heavier wall and a denser braid than the general purpose sleeving, for vehicle and equipment looms, hydraulic hose, floor runs and anything that gets walked on, dragged or chewed. Micro-Ray is an authorized Techflex distributor and all 144 parts below are listed under Techflex’s own part numbers.

Expandable heavy wall braid

• Flexo Heavy Wall (HWN) – the heavy wall version of Flexo PET, 1/8 in to 4 in.
• Flexo Super Duty (SDN) – heavier monofilament again, 1/4 in to 2 1/4 in.
• Clean Cut Heavy Duty (CCH) – heavy wall braid that cuts with scissors and holds a frayless end, 1/8 in to 2 in.
• Gorilla Sleeve (NHN) – heavy nylon braid, 3/8 in to 3 in.
• Flexo Rodent Resistant (RRN) – for cable runs that rodents reach, 1/4 in to 2 1/2 in.

Cut resistant

• Battle Braid (BBN) – cut resistant expandable sleeving, 3/8 in to 1 1/4 in.
• F6 Battle Wrap (B6W) – the same protection as a self-closing split wrap, so it goes onto a finished harness.
• F6 Heavy Duty (F6H) – heavy wall self-closing split braid, 3/8 in to 1 3/8 in.

Hose, hydraulic and wrap-around

• Dura Braid (DBN) – braided hose sleeving, 1/2 in to 2 3/16 in.
• Dura Flex Burst Shield (DFS) – non-expandable burst shield for hydraulic lines.
• OVR Braid (OVR) – over-braid for existing hose and cable, 1/8 in to 1 1/2 in.
• Dura Wrap (DWN), Gator Wrap (DWG) and Turtle Wrap (DWT) – hook and loop wraps from 1 in up to 12 in, for bundles that have to be opened again.

Choosing and ordering

Each part page carries the size, the material and the colour as Techflex publishes them. Cut braided sleeving with a hot knife so it seals as it is cut; Clean Cut and the wrap products can be cut with scissors. Size the sleeving on the compressed bundle and let it relax onto the cable.
