High Temperature

Techflex high temperature sleeving protects wire, cable and hose where ordinary PET braid will not survive the heat: engine bays, exhaust and header runs, welding bays, ovens, furnaces and process plant. Micro-Ray is an authorized Techflex distributor and all 243 parts below are listed under Techflex’s own part numbers.

Fibreglass and silica sleeving

• Insultherm (FGN) and Insultherm HD (FGS) – braided fibreglass sleeving, 1/4 in to 2 1/2 in.
• Insultherm Ultra Flex (FHN) and Ultra Flex PRO (FHH) – the flexible grades, supplied by inch size and by AWG from 24 AWG up to 0 AWG for cable runs.
• Insultherm Tru-Fit, Insultherm Header Wrap (HFN, HSN) and Insultherm Spark Plug Boots (FBN, FCN, FDN, FCU) – the shaped and wrap-around versions for headers and plug leads.
• Flexo Silica Sleeve (SLN) – silica braid, 1/4 in to 6 in.

Welding and radiant heat

• Weld Wrap (WWN fibreglass) and Weld Wrap HD (WWH silica) – hook and loop wraps for weld spatter, 1 in to 4 in.
• Dragon Sleeve (DGN), Dragon Arm and Dragon Blanket (DGB, 18 in to 72 in square) – the welding shop range.
• Volcano basalt fibre – Volcano Sleeve (VTN), Volcano Wrap (VWN) and Volcano Exhaust Sleeve (VES) up to 6 1/2 in for exhaust work.

Silicone jacketed and aluminised

• FireFlex – silicone jacketed fibreglass sleeving (FIN), FireFlex Aero (FIA), Snap Wrap (FIS), Wrap (FIW) and Flat tape (FIF).
• ThermaShield aluminised heat shield – plain tube (TTN), flat (TSN), convoluted (TCN), T6 ThermaShield split sleeving (T6F), wrap (TWN), tape (TST) and connector shields (CNS).
• Silver Foil (SRF) and Gold Foil (GRL) radiant barrier sheet.

Choosing and ordering

Each part page carries the size, the material and the colour as Techflex publishes them. Cut fibreglass and silica with a hot knife so the braid seals as it is cut, and allow for the braid relaxing onto the bundle when you size it.
