Stacked and ganged RJ45 modular jacks from 2 to 16 ports, shielded, side entry PCB mount, with and without LEDs – 31 part numbers in the MR-59 series.
A stacked jack puts two rows of ports one above the other in a single housing, so a 2 x 4 part gives eight ports in the width of four. A ganged jack puts the ports in one row in a single moulding. Stacked parts save front panel width where the board has the depth for them; ganged parts suit a thin panel or a single row of ports along an edge.
Most of the range is 8P8C, the eight position eight contact jack normally called RJ45. The 6 port ganged parts are 10P10C, which takes an 8P8C plug as well as a ten contact plug, and is used where the extra two contacts carry power or a second pair. Ask for the drawing and we will confirm the footprint, tail arrangement and shield tabs against your board. Please call for pricing and availability.
