Fork and Spade Terminals

Fork and spade terminals – 178 crimp terminals in vinyl, nylon and PC-insulated, non-insulated and heat-shrink waterproof styles, in flange, locking and plain tongues.

A fork or spade slides in under a screw you only slacken, instead of one you have to take right out. On a crowded terminal block that turns a fiddly job into a quick one, and it is why these shapes survive on control panels long after ring terminals have been designed out of everything else.

What is in this range

• Fork terminals — non-insulated and PC-insulated, butted and brazed seam.
• Spade terminals — narrow, medium and long tongue, single and double crimp with an easy-entry copper sleeve.
• Flange spade terminals — a turned-up flange that stops the wire barrel rotating under the screw.
• Locking spade terminals — a formed tongue that resists backing out under vibration.
• Heat-shrinkable waterproof spades — an adhesive-lined sleeve that seals the crimp.

Specifying one

Four things settle it: the wire size, the stud or screw size the tongue has to clear, the insulation material, and whether the seam is butted or brazed.
