SCS 1000 Metal-In Bags

Micro-Ray lists 80 sizes of SCS 1000 Metal-In static shield bags, from 2.5 x 8 in. to 36 x 36 in., for packing and shipping static-sensitive assemblies.

What these bags are for

• Metal-In construction, so the metallised shield layer sits inside the bag and is protected from abrasion in handling
• Packing boards, modules and loose components that static discharge can damage
• Shipping and storing sub-assemblies between the build bench and the customer
• Returns and RMA handling, where a part has to travel protected and labelled

Choosing a size

• Sizes here run from 2.5 x 8 in. up to 36 x 36 in. Allow an inch over the longest dimension of the part so the bag can be closed clear of it.
• Long narrow sizes such as 3 x 10 in. and 6 x 30 in. suit cable assemblies and rails.
• Square sizes from 12 x 12 in. upward suit backplanes, panels and boxed sub-assemblies.
