The MR-A111928-H-XX-R is an HDMI socket with a nickel-plated shell.
HDMI is the 19-position interface used to carry uncompressed digital video and audio between source and display equipment. It appears in professional AV and broadcast hardware, digital signage, medical and industrial displays, kiosks, test equipment and control-room systems — anywhere a screen has to be driven from a separate box.
Micro-Ray supplies HDMI sockets in both surface-mount and through-hole versions, so the same interface can be carried across different board processes.
Shell plating affects contact resistance at the shield and how the connector holds up to repeated mating; the nickel-plated version is specified where that matters. The alternative plating is available under a related part number.
