Barrier block or quick block

A barrier block takes a ring or spade terminal under a screw, with an insulating barrier between poles. It is the choice where the wiring will be inspected, re-torqued or changed over the life of the panel, and where a loose strand finding its neighbour would be expensive. A quick block takes the conductor directly and is faster to build, which earns its place on repeat production. Both styles appear in this range, so the same P-series footprint can be specified either way.

Reading the P-series numbering

• P-610 and P-620 – the smaller 6-series bodies.
• P-810 to P-872 and P-8A0 – the 8-series, the bulk of the range.
• Suffix N – P-810N, P-820N, P-830N, P-831N, a variant body on the same base number.
• Suffix W – P-810W, P-820W, P-840W, a further variant on the same base.

Pole count, pitch, current and wire range are published on each part number page and on its datasheet. We do not state a dimension here that belongs to one part – check the drawing, or send us the number and we will confirm it against the datasheet before you commit.

Send the P-number, or the pitch and pole count if you are working from a panel drawing, and we will quote it with a lead-time. If we do not have stock and you have a requirement for these parts, we will manufacture and release the material as you need it.
